Rear suspension lifter

A ball-screw lifter that raises the rear suspension into the vehicle, run on a two-hand safety system.

The situation

Marrying the rear suspension to the body is a lift a person cannot make and a fixture cannot fumble: the assembly is heavy, the clearances are tight, and the line above it does not stop.

What it delivers

The lifter runs at line rate under a safety system an operator can trust their hands to. Installed and commissioned inside the plant's shutdown window.

  • 01Ball-screw lift drive controlled by a Mitsubishi VFD over EtherNet/IP
  • 02Two-hand-control safety system governing every raise
  • 03Sensors, encoders and on-machine I/O networked over EtherNet/IP
  • 04A backup lifter, so a drive fault doesn't stop the line
  • 05Full electrical design, commissioning and onsite installation
