The situation

Cavity wax is corrosion protection sprayed into closed body sections. The process needs coordinated motion, flow and position sensing, and it sits inside a production line where a fault means stopped bodies.

What it delivers

A spray line the plant runs and maintains itself, with the drives, sensing and I/O on one network and one set of documentation.

What we built
  • 01Full electrical design for the wax cavity spray system
  • 02Mitsubishi VFDs communicating over EtherNet/IP
  • 03Sensors, encoders and on-machine I/O networked over EtherNet/IP
  • 04Pump skid controls with pressure and level monitoring
  • 05Commissioning and onsite installation
